Let's REALLY Read it...
To Properly Understand The 2nd Amendment, We Must Know The Following...
- That the amendment referring to our ownership and use of ARMS is the SECOND amendment... not the 9th, 13th, or 24th! It was in fact, at one point, proposed that it be the first due to its importance. But a majority felt that freedom of speech, originally the 3rd amendment, was of the utmost import and the arms amendment needed be the 2nd to enforce it per se.
- That there is only ONE PERIOD in the entire 2nd Amendment. All other punctuation are comma's. This is important to note as it succinctly indicates that the final statement... SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED ... refers to the entire paragraph, not just to our right to bear arms, as we have been led to believe. Hence, our right to form militia shall not be infringed either.
- That it states very clearly that a WELL ORGANIZED MILITIA is NECESSARY to the maintaining of a free state. NECESSARY! Not just a good idea.
- That the word "MILITIA" does not refer to a state or federally run ARMY. This is yet another element of the 2nd Amendment we have been misled to believe. During the Revolutionary War, George Washington commanded the Continental ARMY. This ARMY was not "MILITIA". In fact, he first led a group of MILITIA who later formed militia groups for each state and were called upon to aid the ARMY in skirmishes and heated battles. The term "MILITIA" did back then and still does today refer to 'a group of civilian men (and women) organized into a 'WELL REGULATED' military unit specifically created to maintain a free state'. In many Google search results, the term 'militia' erroneously and deceptively refers to the U.S. Military forces and how that part of the 2nd Amendment is covered by our armed forces. This is not the truth.
- That Thomas Paine once stated "The duty of a true patriot is to protect his country from its government". This would clearly imply that we should never assume that a government run ARMY (or any law enforcement agency run by the government) will act in the best interest of the citizenry. Hence the need for civilian militia.
- That the threat of a civil war should NOT be illegal nor suppressed. But more so an ever present and feared element. Avoiding it should only come through observance of and obedience to the commands of the U.S. Constitution. It was the intent of the Founding Fathers that the 2nd Amendment watch over the application and use of the 1st Amendment and all other aspects of the Constitution. None of the issues this nation is currently facing would be occuring had the threat of a civil war by constitutionally upholding Americans, existed.
- Lastly, we have the right to and should immediately begin forming organized state to state militia.
It Is Time To Organize
I am convinced that if we were able to bring any one of the Founding Fathers here to the present, they would immediately ask... "Good God men! Where are your militia?? Why are you not upholding this part of our Constitution!?!"
It is time for us to form MILITIA and stop allowing this overthrow of our Great Nation!
WHAT ARE WE ALL ABOUT...
The Threat Must Exist!
Without a fear of and respect for the power of the people, the government reigns supreme and has now run amuck. We The People MUST show a force of strength OTHER THAN AN ELECTION. Simply being a voter does nothing! Voting is a decision process that can be deeply flawed. It is why we ARE NOT a Democracy.
Have we waited too long?
It might be easy to say we've waited too long to utilize this element of the constitution. What would the state to state militia stand for at this point? What would they be interested in fighting for?
Protecting the conservative principles the constitution was founded upon can be touted as the very purpose of these militia.
What the Left fears the most...
Those on the left continue to chip away at the freedoms contained within and the regulatory nature of the United States Constitution. Some on the left have even suggested that it has as a whole become obsolete. This is without question a threat to our free nation and it's very utterance should constitute treason. It IS our foundation and it must REMAIN our foundation!
Why have we come to this point?
Our over reliance on elections as some kind of threat to those who speak of treason and run for elected office supported by those who have been fooled into thinking that anything other than a free capitalistic enviornment best propogates a happy and productive society
How you can help...
We must all begin spreading the word, telling everyone we know that this absence of strength from the populace is allowing the United States to be overthrown. Begin planning and organizing Constitutionally based militia in your state or even in your county.
